Description

Day 1: You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Bellavista Nanay port. Board a traditional, safe boat for a scenic journey along the Amazon River, where you can observe gray and pink dolphins.

Visit the Kukama Indigenous Community to learn about their biodiversity knowledge, natural medicine, and oral traditions.

Continue to Monkey Island (Neyser) to observe, feed, and photograph various monkey species in their natural habitat.

Arrive at the lodge for an introduction to sustainability practices. Enjoy a lunch featuring typical jungle dishes, with vegetarian options available if requested in advance.

After a 30-minute rest, swim in the Amazon River, relax on its beaches, and experience a “flowering bath” in the black mud. Later, observe the Amazon sunset and spot pink dolphins when in season.

After dinner, partake in a night excursion to spot nocturnal wildlife including insects, tarantulas, frogs, scorpions, monkeys, and birds.

Day 2: Observe the Amazon sunrise and birdlife, then enjoy breakfast at the lodge.

Visit the Wildlife Rescue Center (Fundo Rony) to see sloths, monkeys, macaws, toucans, boa constrictors, and turtles.

Sample artisanal macerated drinks made with camu camu, “7 roots,” and ginger at the Amazonian sugar mill.

Experience piranha fishing using traditional methods taught by your guide.

Enjoy a self-service lunch with typical jungle dishes. Afterward, relax or explore the camp surroundings before returning to Iquitos (Plaza de Armas) around 5:30 pm.
