Pickup from your hotel in Arequipa occurs between 6:00 AM and 6:20 AM in a tourist vehicle. The tour begins with a stop at the Chiguata vantage point to see pre-Inca terraces and panoramic views of the Misti, Chachani, and Pichupichu volcanoes.

Next, the tour visits the Queñoa forest at 3,800 meters altitude, featuring high-altitude trees and expansive volcano views. Afterward, you will stop at Cerro El Simbral to view the city of Arequipa before arriving at Salinas Lagoon around 8:00 AM for a 30-minute breakfast.

Following breakfast, explore the area to see South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. The tour then includes visits to nearby hot springs and walking around the lagoon to appreciate its salt flats and reflective waters. Note that the salt flat is best enjoyed from May to mid-December; from mid-December to April (rainy season), only the lagoon and water mirror are visible.
