Description
We’ll pick you up early, at 6:00 a.m. from your hotel in Lima, to begin a fascinating journey into the origins of civilization in the Americas. Along the way, our guide will share stories and interesting facts about the towns we pass through—Chancay, Huacho, Huaura, and Supe while you enjoy the scenic drive along Peru’s northern coastal route. We’ll make a short stop to stretch, use the restroom, grab a coffee, or pick up any last minute items.
After a light breakfast, we head to the impressive Caral Archaeological Complex, known as the oldest city in the Americas. Upon arrival, a local guide will lead you through its ceremonial plazas, temples, and pyramids, including the Main Temple and the Sacred Fire Altar while your personal guide provides translation and deeper context to enrich the experience.
Following the tour, we continue to Huacho for a delicious lunch featuring regional cuisine. In the afternoon, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, visiting highlights like the Main Square, Huacho Casino, and the iconic Rotunda. If time permits, we’ll also pass by the Pitaluga House, the University Archaeological Museum, and the Chorrillos Beach Boardwalk, where history and ocean views come together.
As the sun sets, we return to Lima and drop you off comfortably at your hotel, closing a day full of culture, discovery, and unforgettable landscapes.
