Description

We will welcome you to our home workshop in Miraflores, a peaceful space where weaving is part of our daily life. We will start by talking about the natural fibers we will use, such as alpaca, cotton, sheep's wool, chambira, and more, and how they are obtained and processed by hand. Then, you will learn to weave on a frame loom: from a simple approach that requires no previous experience. Each person will be able to choose their fibers and colors to create their own piece, at their own pace, guided step by step. While we weave, we will share stories about textiles in Peru and their link to memory, territory, and everyday life. At the end, you can take your weaving home as a souvenir of an experience that connects hands, history, and the present. This is not just a workshop, it is an invitation to see handmade items with new eyes and to get to know a living part of our history from the inside. We will meet at our workshop in Miraflores; all materials are included and no previous experience is required.

• This experience requires advance booking. The workshops are group sessions and require a minimum of two participants. If you would like to take the workshop individually, this is also possible at a special price.
