Description

Begin with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco and drive through the Sacred Valley to the charming town of Pisac. Upon arrival in the surrounding area of Pisac, make the necessary preparations before starting the hike. Start the trail on the outskirts of the village and gradually ascend along peaceful rural paths surrounded by spectacular high-Andean landscapes. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of hiking, reach your first destination, Kimsacocha Lagoon, a beautiful mountain lake surrounded by wetlands and natural springs. Continue to Azul Qocha Lagoon, named after the striking deep-blue color of its crystal-clear waters. Finally, arrive at Puma Qocha Lagoon, the highest point of the circuit, where expansive highland scenery unfolds before you and, weather permitting, magnificent snow-capped peaks can be admired in the distance. The complete trekking route covers approximately 10 km (6.2 miles) round trip, with an estimated hiking time of 4 to 5 hours at a moderate pace. Throughout the journey, make scheduled stops to rest, stay hydrated, interpret the surrounding natural environment, and take photographs of the breathtaking landscapes. Once the hike is completed, descend back to Pisac, where you enjoy a comforting lunch before boarding your private tourist transportation for the return journey to Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon and bringing this memorable outdoor experience to a close.
