Description
DAY 01: AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON – CHIVAY
07:30–08:00 AM | Pick-up
Pick-up from the meeting point and departure toward the Colca Canyon. The journey to Chivay takes approximately 4 hours, including scenic stops.
Our first stop will be at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we may observe vicuñas and other native Andean wildlife.
We will continue to Patahuasi for a short acclimatization break and then visit the Toccra wetlands, where alpacas can often be seen grazing.
Our final stop will be the Mirador de los Volcanes, located at approximately 4,800 meters above sea level, offering impressive views of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes.
12:30 PM | Chivay
Arrival in Chivay and time for lunch (not included). Afterward, check-in at the hotel.
In the afternoon, you may optionally visit the hot springs, with thermal pools ranging from approximately 35°C to 38°C. Entrance fee is not included.
In the evening, you may enjoy dinner and a traditional folkloric show (not included).
Overnight in Chivay.
DAY 02: COLCA CANYON – PUNO
After breakfast, we will visit the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, one of the best places to admire the Colca Canyon and, when conditions allow, observe the flight of the Andean condor.
We will spend approximately 45 minutes here before returning through the valley, stopping at panoramic viewpoints to appreciate the traditional agricultural terraces.
We will also visit Maca, a traditional village where you can see its historic church and learn about local culture.

01:30 PM | Chivay – Puno
With the assistance of our guide, we will board the tourist transportation to Puno. During the journey, we will make scenic stops to appreciate the landscapes of the Peruvian Altiplano, protected natural areas, and native flora and fauna.
07:30 PM | Arrival in Puno
Arrival in Puno and end of our services.
