Description

Dive into a one-of-a-kind adventure by exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas in just one day. You'll kick things off with a visit to the awesome ruins of Pisac, with its agricultural terraces and panoramic views of the valley, and you can also check out the famous craft market. Next, you'll stop at an Andean camelid center, where you can hang out with llamas and alpacas, learn about their role in local culture, and snap some amazing photos. You'll then head to the Salineras de Maras, a collection of over 3,000 salt pools that have been used since pre-Inca times. Next, you'll check out the mysterious circular terraces of Moray, thought to be an ancient Inca agricultural lab. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll end your day at the majestic Ollantaytambo fortress, a living archaeological site that mixes monumental architecture, temples, and traditional alleys. All this with a private guide who lets you explore at your own pace and enjoy a personalized experience.

Important Information

  • The tour lasts about 9 to 10 hours and includes moderate walks at archaeological sites. Hotel pickup is only included in the historic center of Cusco, Ollantaytambo, or Urubamba; if your hotel is outside these areas, we'll arrange a nearby meeting point. Bring your passport or ID to get into the archaeological sites. Bring some cash in Peruvian soles for local shopping, souvenirs, or extra expenses. The weather in the Sacred Valley is pretty unpredictable: you can get bright sunshine and rain on the same day. Bring sunscreen, a hat, a raincoat, and comfy shoes. Cusco and the Sacred Valley are between 2,800 and 3,800 meters above sea level: it's a good idea to get acclimatized at least one day before to avoid altitude sickness. Lunch isn't included, but your guide can recommend some great local spots.
