Description

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and Afternoon City Tour Meet your guide at the Cusco airport and head directly to your hotel to settle in, rest, and begin adjusting to the altitude. Later in the afternoon, your guide will pick you up. Visit the city’s main square, walk through historic streets, explore Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. Stop at Cristo Blanco viewpoint for beautiful views over Cusco. After the tour, return to your hotel to rest. Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour with Moray and Maras After breakfast, begin a full day through the Sacred Valley. First, visit an alpaca and llama farm, where you’ll learn about their importance in Andean life. Then, stop at the Taray viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley. Continue to the Pisac archaeological site, known for its terraces, temples, and mountain views, followed by time in the colorful Pisac market. After lunch in the Sacred Valley, continue to Moray Circular Terraces and the Maras Salt Mines. The day ends in Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town and the best place to spend the night. Day 3: Train to Km 104, Short Inca Trail, Sun Gate, Machu Picchu, and Aguas Calientes After breakfast at your hotel in Ollantaytambo, take the train to Km 104, the official starting point of the Short Inca Trail. At the checkpoint, show your original passport and begin the trail with your expert guide. Before the hike, enjoy a fresh picnic breakfast. Then, visit Chachabamba, and begin a gradual hike through cloud forest, mountain views, orchids, waterfalls, and original Inca stone paths. After 3-4 hours of hiking, arrive at Wiñay Wayna, one of the most impressive and beautiful Inca sites on the trail. Your guide will explain the terraces, temples, fountains, and the importance of this site before you enjoy a fresh picnic lunch prepared by expert chefs. In the afternoon, continue toward the Sun Gate (Intipunku). This is one of the most emotional moments of the trip: the trail opens, the mountains appear, and Machu Picchu comes into view from above. Continue down to the upper viewpoints for classic photos before taking the bus to Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes, check into your hotel and enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. Day 4: Guided Machu Picchu Tour, Vistadome Train, and Cusco After breakfast, take the bus back to Machu Picchu. This is your chance to explore the citadel more deeply with your guide, visiting terraces, temples, plazas, royal areas, and sacred spaces. Your route inside Machu Picchu will depend on the official ticket and circuit assigned for your travel date. After the visit, return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Later, board the panoramic Vistadome train to Ollantaytambo and continue by tourist transport back to Cusco. Spend your final night in Cusco. Day 5: Cusco and Airport Transfer Out After breakfast, enjoy a flexible and relaxed morning before your transfer from your hotel to the Cusco airport according to your flight time.
