Description

Day 1: Cusco -Pukacocha Pass - Anantapata - Surina Qocha Camp Early in the morning (around 4:00 a.m.), we pick you up from your hotel and drive for about 3 hours to the trailhead. After breakfast and a short briefing, we start hiking through beautiful Andean landscapes with views of Ausangate Mountain. We hike to Pucacocha Pass (4,870 m / 15,977 ft), where you will enjoy panoramic views of Pucacocha Lagoon and the surrounding glaciers. Then we continue to Anantapata for lunch. In the afternoon, we hike up to Warmisaya Pass / Abra Minasniyuc (4,985 m / 16,354 ft), where you will see Rainbow Mountain for the first time. We then descend for about 45 minutes to our campsite at Surina Qocha Lagoon. Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Happy Hour, Dinner Day 2: Surina Qocha – Rainbow Mountain – Red Valley – Cusco We wake up very early in the morning to start hiking before the crowds. After breakfast, we hike about 45 minutes to reach Rainbow Mountain (5,100 m / 16,732 ft), arriving among the first visitors of the day. You will have free time to enjoy the views and take photos in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Then we continue to the Red Valley, another spectacular and still less-visited area. Thanks to our early start, we will also explore this place before most groups arrive, allowing you to fully enjoy the scenery and the silence of the mountains. After visiting both highlights, we descend for about 1.5 hours to the end of the trail, where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, our private transport will take us back to Cusco.
