Description

Discover the beauty of the Colca Canyon on a 2-day tour from Arequipa. Enjoy a guided hike through the canyon, take a dip in the Sangalle Oasis, and visit the Cruz del Condor viewpoint. Day 1: Arequipa - Cruz del Condor - Sangalle Oasis Start your adventure with a pickup from the meeting point in the historic center of Arequipa at 3:00 AM. Head to Chivay and enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint. Admire the depth of the Colca Canyon before continuing to Pampa San Miguel to begin a guided hike. Take in the views of the canyon as you descend through the gorge. Stop to enjoy a typical lunch at a local family's house in San Juan de Chuccho. Continue to the Sangalle Oasis, where you can take a dip in the natural pools and enjoy an evening campfire. Spend the night in the oasis. Day 2: Cabanaconde - Chivay - Arequipa Start the day with a 5:00 AM hike to Cabanaconde. Enjoy a traditional breakfast before heading to Chivay. Pass by the natural viewpoint of Antahuilque and the town of Maca. Arrive in Yanque at 11:30 AM and spend some time relaxing in the thermal baths. Enjoy lunch in Chivay before heading to the Andes viewpoint. Admire panoramic views of the Hualca Hualca, Sabanaya, and Ampato volcanoes. Make a final stop in Pampas Cañahuas to see the vicuñas that live there before returning to Arequipa. Arrive back in the city at 5:30 PM.
