....Departures are not daily, please check with the supplier for the next available date before making your reservation...... Day 1 We will meet at the meeting point around 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 am. After reviewing some details with the guide, we will begin the hike to the indicated point of Chachani (5,000 m.a.s.l.), starting a hike of approximately 2 hours to our campsite at more than 5,200 m.a.s.l. This day only includes one meal, so it is advisable to bring some snacks for the journey. Once camp is set up, we will have the opportunity to explore part of the area on foot. Day 2 Early breakfast and start of the ascent. During the ascent, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Cordillera Volcanica of southern Peru and the towns of Quiscos and Uyupampa. The trail follows the northern edge of Chachani, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca snow-capped peaks, all part of the Cordillera del Ampato. We continue along the trail until we reach the “ante cima”, formed by the main crater of Chachani at more than 6,000 meters above sea level. We reach the summit, located at 6,075 m.a.s.l., before noon, after about six to seven hours of hiking. From there, there is an impressive view of the Chila Mountain Range and its surroundings. The descent to base camp takes between one and a half and two hours, and then we return to our transportation. We expect to arrive in Arequipa in the afternoon, before 5 pm.
