Description
Embark on a full day photography focused experience through the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons on Earth. This small group tour provides guided assistance to help you capture landscapes, wildlife, and cultural moments throughout the journey.
Begin with an early pickup from your hotel in Arequipa (around 3:00 AM). Travel toward Chivay and enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast while receiving practical tips for photographing high-altitude scenery.
Continue to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where you can observe the canyon and the Andean condors that are often seen gliding in the morning hours. Your guide will provide orientation on the best observation points and camera settings.
Visit scenic stops such as Antahuilque and Choquetico, known for panoramic views of terraced fields, geological formations, and rural Andean life. In the towns of Maca and Yanque, you can photograph colonial architecture, local artisans, and traditional clothing.
Later, relax at the thermal baths near Chivay, where the surrounding mountains offer opportunities for additional photos. Afterward, enjoy a buffet lunch featuring regional dishes.
On the return to Arequipa, make several photography stops, including:
