Description

Itinerary: Day 1: Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Arequipa around 8:00 a.m. in private transport. We drive across the high Andean landscapes until reaching 3,300 m, the starting point of the trek. From here, the journey on foot begins, guided by an experienced mountaineer who will accompany you every step of the way. As you climb, the scenery transforms: from arid valleys to volcanic slopes, with breathtaking views of Arequipa and the surrounding peaks. After about 4 to 5 hours of trekking, we arrive at the base camp located at 4,600 m, where you will set up for the night. Here, a warm dinner awaits, followed by time to rest under a sky filled with stars as you prepare for the summit challenge. Day 2: On the second day, the adventure continues before sunrise. At dawn, equipped with headlights and determination, we start the ascent towards the summit. The climb takes 5 to 6 hours, traversing volcanic ash and steep trails that demand both effort and spirit. As the sun rises, the view becomes extraordinary: the vast city of Arequipa, the surrounding volcanoes, and the endless Andean mountain range. Finally, you will reach the top of Misti Volcano at 5,822 m, where the reward is an unforgettable view of the crater and the feeling of having conquered one of Peru’s most iconic peaks. After enjoying time at the summit, we begin the descent back to the base camp and then continue down to the meeting point where our private transport awaits. You will return comfortably to your hotel in Arequipa around 4:00 p.m., carrying not only amazing photos but also the memory of a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
