Description

Begin your day early with a 5:00 a.m. pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Southern Valley of Cusco, passing picturesque Andean villages, vast green fields, and snow-capped peaks glistening in the morning light. After approximately 3 hours, arrive in the charming town of Cusipata, where a traditional breakfast buffet awaits — freshly prepared by local families using ingredients from their own farms. After breakfast, continue your journey by vehicle toward the Andean village of Ausangate, a peaceful community of local shepherds and farmers living in harmony with nature. From here, start your trek to the Ausangate Glaciers, one of the most breathtaking trails in the Peruvian Andes. The route takes about 3 to 4 hours round trip, depending on the group’s pace, and offers panoramic mountain views and the pure, crisp air of the high Andes. During the hike, enjoy the stunning landscapes, emerald-colored lagoons, and the presence of llamas and alpacas grazing freely in the distance—perfect for photography but without direct interaction.
