Description

Day 1: Cusco - Tinki - Upis We will pick you up from the meeting point at 5:00 in the morning to head to Upis. We will then set off and begin climbing a wide ascending trail to the northeast face of the impressive Ausangate mountain. After three hours of walking we will arrive at the Upis campsite, where we will enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we will have the option to walk on a two-hour round trip to Lake Wayna Ausangate. On the way back we will have tea time prepared and then dinner. Day 2: Upis - Arapa Pass - Hatun Pukaqocha Today we will wake you up, enjoy a delicious breakfast in the cold of the high mountains that will comfort you. We will begin our walk today for two hours towards the Arapa Pass with the spectacular Ausangate glacier You will observe the size of the mountain range and, if you are lucky, the beautiful flight of the condor, the largest flying bird in the world. Our guide will also explain a little more about the stunning local flora and fauna. We will then descend to discover the beautiful crystal-clear Yanacocha Lagoon (black lagoon); then, we will follow the trail for another hour until we reach Hatun Pucacocha At this point, we will have a delicious lunch. Then, we will reach our campsite at Hatun Pukaqocha. Later, we will explore the surrounding lagoons and relax with a delicious mate. In the evening, a nutritious dinner will be waiting for you. Then, you will head off to spend a comfortable night at your campsite. Day 3: Hatun Pukaqocha- Puka Pass - Anantapata - Warmisaya - Surineqocha There is nothing better for your body than waking up with a hot infusion of coca leaves After a hearty breakfast, we will climb for 2 hours towards the Puka Pass Once you reach the top, you will spot the giant face of the Apu Ausangate right in front of you. From this opening, you will already be able to see the beginning of the Rainbow Mountain range with its striking colored stripes. Afterwards we will begin with a gradual descent for an hour and a half to our lunch spot, located in Anantapata. Then we will continue with a climb for 2 hours to Warmisaya We will only have to descend for an hour to the Surineqocha lagoon, where our night camp will be waiting for you. Day 4: After a tasty breakfast at 4:00, we will head to Rainbow Mountain Our expert guide will take you directly to the key spots so that you can get the best photos and make the most of your time in this beautiful place. Take a deep breath and feel the joy of being alive. It will only take you 45 minutes on foot to reach the viewpoint, from where you will get the best views of the valley. Finally, we will make a two-hour descent After a delicious last lunch, a bus will be waiting to take you back to your accommodation in Cusco.
