Detailed Information It is important to note that this tour must be booked at least one month in advance. We recommend you to check the availability of the entrance tickets to Machu Picchu for the date you want, as this will help you to avoid any inconvenience and guarantee your place in this unique experience. Day 1: Cusco / Mollepata / Soraypampa / Humantay Lagoon / Salkantaypampa We will start our day in Cusco, heading to Markhuq'asa to begin the trek to Soraypampa, located at 3,850 meters above sea level. We will have a break for lunch and then continue to the beautiful Humantay Lagoon. Finally, we will arrive at Salkantaypampa base camp, where we will spend the night. Day 2: Salkantaypampa / Salkantay pass / Collpapampa Includes: Breakfast, lunch, dinner We will start the day walking to the highest point of the Salkantay Pass, where we will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks. After approximately 2 hours of hiking, we will arrive at the campsite to enjoy lunch. Afterwards, we will explore the Amazon jungle, crossing the cloud forest and searching for local fauna on our way to the village of Collpapampa, where we will spend the night. Day 3: Collpapampa / La Playa After enjoying breakfast, we will depart to La Playa through the Santa Teresa and Maciene valley, where we will be amazed by waterfalls and wild orchids. Upon arrival, we will explore a coffee, banana and avocado plantation, with the opportunity to taste local coffee at the organic farms and enjoy a typical lunch. At the end of the day, you will have the option to visit the hot springs and observe the rich bird life (at an additional charge). Finally, we will return to the camp for the night. Day 4: Santa Teresa / Hidro Aguascalientes In Santa Teresa, you will have the option to enjoy activities such as zip-lining, rafting or canopy (at an additional cost). Then, we will head to Hidroelectrica, passing by impressive glacial waterfalls and cocoa and coffee fields. There, we will enjoy a nutritious lunch before embarking on a 2-hour hike to Machu Picchu Pueblo (also known as Aguascalientes). Upon arrival, you will settle into your hotel for a shower and some rest before dinner. After dinner, you can relax and prepare for your visit to Machu Picchu early the next morning. Day 5: Machu Picchu Breakfast included. We will start the day exploring Machu Picchu early in the morning, before the crowds arrive. You will have the option to walk up the hill to the ruins or take a bus (at an additional cost). Upon arrival, you will enjoy a two-hour guided tour to learn in depth about the temples, palaces, and other fascinating aspects of the site. In the afternoon, you will take a train to Ollantaytambo and, from there, a bus back to Cusco, where you will arrive at your hotel or hostel.
