Description

Embark on a full-day adventure in the Amazon rainforest. Take a hike through the forest to the Canopy Tower, enjoy a zipline ride, kayak down the Madre de Dios River, and visit Monkey Island. Start with a 200-meter hike through the forest until you reach the Canopy Tower, which stands 35 meters tall. This tower is built at the base of a massive lupuna tree, a majestic representative of the Amazon. During the day, there's a possibility to spot a variety of birds and enjoy the fabulous natural landscape above the trees. The guide will explain the local fauna and flora. After the walk across the Canopy bridge, start the zip-line activity. The guide will explain how to do it and provide you with a harness and other necessary safety equipment. Glide along a 190-meter-long zip-line. Upon reaching the other end, an assistant will help you cross a small 100-meter bridge. Then, return via another 190-meter zip-line to the starting point. After returning the equipment, head back to the Lodge for lunch. After a comforting lunch, relax in the hammocks. Be ready for the next adventure after a short siesta. The kayaking activity starts from the Lodge. Take the kayaks and paddles, wear life jackets, and board the boat. Enjoy this adventure as you descend the Madre de Dios River, with the reassurance of a support boat accompanying the group. It's a great opportunity to swim in the river waters and unwind after the city activities. Monkey Island is located 15 minutes downstream from the Lodge. Here, find groups of Capuchin monkeys, Black (Cebus apella), and White-faced (Cebus albifrons), which are accustomed to human presence. This allows for close encounters, feeding them, and observing their interactions among different species. After interacting with the monkeys, return to the Lodge around 4:30 PM to collect your belongings and return to the city.
