Description

FIRST DAY After breakfast, depart Cotahuasi for Taurisma. Explore ancient cedars, colonial churches, and the broom forest. Continue to Tomepampa for photos at its traditional church, then to Alca for its agriculture, balconies, and colonial houses. Descend to Luicho thermal baths for lunch featuring local trout. Enjoy a therapeutic bath in the hot springs. Return to Cotahuasi for dinner and overnight stay. SECOND DAY After breakfast, journey to the deepest part of Cotahuasi Canyon. Observe the Colcan and Piro countryside's agriculture and geological richness. Visit Sipia Waterfall, a symbol of Cotahuasi Landscape Reserve, cascading 150 meters amidst a dramatic water-rock clash. Return to Cotahuasi for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Laguna Chaquicocha, Inmaculada Concepción church, and Santa Ana Bell Tower. 6:00 pm transfer to Arequipa's bus terminal, arriving at 3:00 am the next day.
