Description
Set out on the unforgettable Inca Trail, undoubtedly one of the best hikes in the world, leaving Cusco, discover beautiful landscapes and explore a cloud forest.
Day 1: Begin your adventure with pickup from your hotel in Cusco and enjoy a trip by tourist transport through the Sacred Valley, until you reach the starting point of the Inca Trail at km 82 in Chilca. After passing the control, you will perform an emotional welcome ceremony with the guide and team. Walk to Llaqtapata, an ancient Inca archaeological site, and enjoy lunch in Tarayoc. Continue to Wayllabamba, the first camp, enjoy dinner and night views.
Day 2: Reach the highest point of the Inca Trail, Warmiwañusca or Dead Woman's Pass, at 4,215 meters, and enjoy stunning panoramic views. After overcoming this great challenge, continue towards Pacaymayo, here you will have your lunch, dinner and you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Experience the longest and most beautiful day of the Inca Trail. Walk through different microclimates to the cloud forest, visiting the archaeological sites of Runkurakay and Sayacmarca. We will have lunch in Phuyupatamarca and then descend to Wiñay Huayna, another impressive Inca archaeological site. Enjoy a guided tour and dinner at the camp.
Day 4: Wake up early to witness the sunrise over Machu Picchu from Inti Punku. Descend to Machu Picchu and take a complete guided tour, exploring the Temple of the Sun, the Main Plaza, the Barracks and Huayna Picchu (optional). Take the train back to Ollantaytambo and enjoy a final transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
