Description

Huchuy Qosqo means 'Little Cusco' and is nestled in the upper third of the mountain called Qaqya (thunder). It also showcases one of the most impressive works of topographic modification using terracing. By shaping the edges of cliffs and vertical ravines over the Vilcanota Valley, they created platforms that were used as ceremonial esplanades. Ride to Chinchero We'll head to the village of Chinchero, a spot near the start of the hike, in a comfy tourist bus. 3. Starting the hike From Chinchero, we'll start our hike along Andean trails, soaking in the local scenery, flora, and fauna. During this stretch, we'll have some free time to enjoy the amazing experience, with our guide by our side. 4. Heading down to the village of Lamay We'll start the descent by walking to the charming village of Lamay, crossing fields and rural communities. 7. Traditional lunch In Lamay, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch with typical dishes of the region, perfect for recharging your batteries. 8. Heading back to Cusco After lunch, we'll hop on our tourist transport for a comfy ride back to Cusco. 9.
