You will be picked up from your hotel in Cuzco between 04:30 am - 05:00 am. The drive is 1.5 hours to Cusipata with a 40 minute stop for breakfast. From here, continue for another 1 hour until you reach the parking lot. Here you will stop to get some information about how the trip is going to work. Start walking at the foot of the Ausangate mountain range. You will then embark on an ascent of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to the highest point of the 7-colored mountain. During the trek you will have the opportunity to see the different types of South American camelids. When you arrive to the red hill, contemplate the beautiful landscape where you will appreciate stripes of red, yellow, green, blue and other colors, due to the sedimentation of minerals over millions of years. Finally, continue the trip with a 1 hour descent to flat terrain and back to the starting point of the journey. Return to Cusipata to enjoy a buffet lunch. After lunch, return to Cuzco, arriving at approximately 17:30 at Plaza Regocijo/Kusipata, centrally located and close to all hotels.
