Here, you will learn about the syncretism between Inca and colonial culture. Coricancha: Also known as the Temple of the Sun, this was the spiritual center of the Incas, where they worshipped their gods. Here you can observe the fusion of Inca and colonial architecture, with impressive stone walls and Spanish constructions. 3.-Sacsayhuaman: We will head to the outskirts of Cusco to visit this ceremonial fortress built with huge stones that fit together perfectly without mortar. From here, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Cusco. Q'enqo: This site was an important ceremonial center for the Incas, where they performed rites in honor of their deities. You will be able to observe the canals carved in rock and the main altar, symbol of Inca spirituality. 5.-Puka Pukara: Also called the 'Red Fortress' due to the reddish color of the stone at sunset, this site served as a military post and control center for access to Cusco. Here you can imagine how the Incas guarded and defended their territory. Tambomachay: We will end the tour at the 'Bath of the Inca', a ceremonial place dedicated to water, where fountains and canals demonstrate the advanced hydraulic knowledge of the Incas.
