️ 7 Colors Mountain - Vinicunca Tour Itinerary Start of the Tour: Pick up in Cusco The tour starts with pick up from your hotel located in the historic center of Cusco, between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. Make sure you are ready at reception at the agreed time. If your accommodation is outside the central area, we will coordinate a meeting point nearby. Trip to Cusipata - Breakfast You will travel by tourist transport for approximately 2 hours to Cusipata, a traditional Andean village. Here you will enjoy a hot breakfast (included in the tour) and have the opportunity to buy water, snacks or walking sticks if you wish. Transfer to the trekking starting point. After breakfast, you will continue for another hour by transport until you reach the starting point of the trek, located at 4,850 m.a.s.l. in the community of Phulawasipata. Beginning of the trek - Ascent to the 7 Colors Mountain Begin the 3.5 km hike (approximately 1h 30 min) to the summit of the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). The trail has flat sections and areas of moderate ascent, so it is recommended to go at a leisurely pace. On the way you will enjoy the impressive landscapes of the Vilcanota mountain range, with views of alpacas, llamas and vicuñas in their natural habitat. Arrival to the 7 Colors Mountain - Free Time Upon reaching the summit (5,010 m a.s.l.), you will have free time to rest, take pictures and admire the panoramic view of the 7 Colors Mountain and the surrounding snow-capped peaks. Weather permitting, you will also be able to see Ausangate, Cusco's sacred mountain. ↘️ Descent and Return to Cusipata You will descend by the same path to the starting point, which will take approximately 1 hour. Then, you will return by transport to Cusipata. ️ Buffet lunch in Cusipata Upon arrival, you will enjoy a buffet lunch with typical Andean dishes. Vegetarian options are available. Return to Cusco - End of the Tour After lunch, you will start your return to Cusco in our tourist transportation. The tour ends approximately between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. with the arrival at the Plaza Regocijo, located just a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
