Description
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is one of Cusco's most visited tourist attractions. Our tour offers you the opportunity to explore amazing places in this beautiful valley, along with the majestic Urubamba River, ancient Inca trails and breathtaking mountain views. The tour includes visits to the main tourist sites of the region (Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero), our tour guides will explain about the constructions, customs and mysteries of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
We will start the adventure by picking you up at your hotel in Cusco between 07:30 and 07:50 am. From there, we will embark on a bus trip to the majestic Sacred Valley, a jewel of the Inca legacy.
Our first stop will be the picturesque viewpoint of Taray, from where we will get an unparalleled panoramic view of the Sacred Valley. Then, we will head towards Pisac, ascending to the impressive archaeological site built on top of a mountain. As we descend, we will immerse ourselves in the local culture by visiting the Pisac handicraft market, where master artisans display their skills with minerals.
At midday, bordering the Vilcanota River, we will head to Urubamba. There, we will enjoy a nutritious buffet lunch that reflects the richness of Cusco's gastronomy.
After lunch, we will explore the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site, formerly an Inca resting place and starting point to Machu Picchu. We will admire its imposing constructions, such as the stone terraces, the Temple of the Sun and the ancestral fountain of the Princess Baths.
Before concluding, we will make a stop in Chinchero, where we will visit a local community and its Textile Interpretation Center, as well as visit the archaeological site of the area.
The day will culminate with our return to Cusco, ending in the Plaza de San Francisco around 18:30 to 19:00 hours.
