Description

The Humantay lagoon, represented by its crystalline waters, is located at the foot of the Salkantay snow-capped mountain, which together with the Humantay snow-capped mountain form the lagoon. During the tour you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the place. This lagoon is a favourite destination for hikers looking to enjoy nature and breathtaking landscapes. Itinerary: Day 1: Cusco - Humantay - Quiswarniyoc Camp. -The tour will start with an early pick up from your hotel to go to the village of Mollepata. - We will have a good breakfast in Mollepata and then we will go to Soraypampa to start an uphill hike to the Humantay Lagoon (the luggage will be carried by the muleteers and horses that are in the place). - There will be time to explore the lagoon with the guide. - We will return downhill to Quiswarniyoc private camp for lunch. -You have the option to hike up to the Salkantay viewpoint to enjoy the view. Day 2: Quiswarniyoc - Salkantay - Cusco - For the second day we prepare for a tough hike to the top of the Salkantay trail. - We will get up very early to have breakfast and pack our gear. - Then we will hike uphill to Salkantay to enjoy the mountains and the ritual of the Apus. - We will then return to Soraypampa, to board the transport that will take us back to Mollepata for lunch. - Our tour ends with the return to the city of Cusco.
