With renewed energy from breakfast, start the hike to Waqrapukara. Along the way, identify the area’s flora and fauna with your guide. Upon arrival, explore the site with your guide. After your guided tour, you’ll have time to explore the site on your own.
Marvel at the site’s distinctive rock, which is covered in ruins, creating a spectacular scene. The imposing stone is perfectly nestled in a river valley. Take a break and enjoy your lunch at the Apurímac River viewpoint.
After eating, begin the return hike along a different, easier route with different views of the Apurímac Canyon and its cliffs. Upon reaching the trailhead, a private van will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.
