Description

Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco and head south to Cusipata. Enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast before continuing to the starting point of the hike at Punta Carretera. Hike for 1.5 to 2 hours through stunning landscapes, including mountains, deep valleys, unique rock formations, and Andean flora. Upon reaching Waqrapukara, be greeted by its impressive stone structures built on the edge of a cliff, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Learn about the history of the site, its ceremonial importance, and its connection to the worship of the Apus (sacred mountain spirits). Afterward, have free time to explore and take photos before starting the return hike. At the end of the trek, board your transport back to Cusipata to enjoy a buffet lunch, and then return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:30 PM.
