We'll have breakfast on the way, then we'll stop at the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint for 30 minutes to enjoy the view of the canyon and the flight of the condor. We'll then head to the start of the hike.
At 9:00 a.m., we'll arrive at the starting point of the hike. From here, we'll descend for three hours to the valley of San Juan de Chuccho. Along the way, we'll enjoy beautiful landscapes. In San Juan de Chuccho, we'll have lunch, then continue walking for three more hours, with ups and downs, to the Sangalle Oasis. There, we'll enjoy a pool in the middle of the mountains, have dinner, and spend the night in a beautiful accommodation.
Day 2. At 5:00 a.m., we'll start the three-hour ascent from the Sangalle Oasis to Cabanaconde. Reaching the summit is a beautiful challenge for all travelers.
In Cabanaconde, we'll have breakfast and then board the return bus. On the way, we'll stop at several main viewpoints. We'll also stop for an hour at the Chacapi hot springs in the town of Yanque. Then, we'll head to the town of Chivay to eat. We'll have 40 minutes to eat and then, with the help of the guide, we'll transfer to the tourist bus that will take us to the city of Puno.
The bus to Puno leaves Chivay at 1:00 p.m. and arrives at Puno's main square at 7:30 p.m. On this stretch of the route, we'll stop at three attractions. The first is the volcano viewpoint, the highest point of the route, to observe the volcanoes in the area. The second attraction is Tocrapampa, which is part of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca reserve. Here, you can see South American camelids like llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and others. And as a third attraction, we'll stop at Lagunillas, a beautiful lagoon that adorns our route.
We'll wrap up our tour in the main square of Puno at around 7:30 p.m.
