Description

Itinerary Day 1: Pacucha Lagoon - Sondor - Pampachiri We will meet at the Plaza de Armas in Ayacucho at 6:00 a.m., from where we will leave for the province of Andahuaylas, one of the first colonial centers established in Peru and where we will find many vestiges of this era. We will start touring the treasures of the so-called Pradera de los Celajes, meaning of the Quechua word Andahuaylas, visiting first the Pacucha lagoon, one of the most beautiful in Peru. In this enclave we will find an enigmatic stone statue representing a woman, and we will tell you the legend that revolves around this figure and its connection with the lagoon. Later, we will stop for lunch on your own and continue exploring the archaeological complex of Sondor, located on top of a mountain, where we will visit its pyramid. Afterwards, we will head to the village of Pampachiri, where we will spend the night. Day 2: House of the Smurfs - Bosque de Piedra - Ayacucho We will wake up early and head to the House of the Smurfs, a cone-shaped house carved into the rock reminiscent of those in the secret village where these well-known blue elves live. Does Gargamel also lurk here? From here, we will take a one-hour walk to the Bosque de Piedra, a place where we will find curious rock formations of different appearances and sizes. At noon, we will return to Pampachiri, where you will have time for lunch on your own, and finally we will start the return trip to Ayacucho. Arrival at the starting point is scheduled at 21:30.
