Admire the 20-meter-high stone wall surrounded by cliffs and jungle as you ascend. Arrive at the mountaintop and explore the ancient city. Wander through the narrow passageways and admire the circular buildings. See the Torreón, the Tintero, and the Castillo. Learn about the history of the site and why it is considered the largest archaeological monument of the pre-Inca civilizations in Peru. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before descending back to Nuevo Tingo. Return to Chachapoyas and get dropped off at your hotel.
