Description

Start with pick up from your accommodation in the historic center of Cusco at 8:00 pm Rest for the night in a sleeper bus with 160 degree reclining seats. Arrive in Puerto Maldonado early in the morning. Day 1: Arrival and Adventure We will pick you up at the bus terminal and transfer you to our cozy lodge, where a refreshing welcome with seasonal fruit drinks will be waiting for you. Settle into your bungalow and get ready for an introductory walk through the jungle, where you will discover the variety of plants, insects and birds of our conservation forest. And for the more adventurous, an exciting suspension bridge (zip line) awaits you! In the afternoon, we will cruise down the river in search of wild animals and watch the beautiful sunset. In the evening, we will look for caimans and capybaras. Day 2: Tambopata National Reserve and Sandoval Lake You will wake up at dawn and navigate downstream to the Tambopata National Reserve (1 hour). We will walk 3 km and observe insects, monkeys and giant spiders. Then, we will arrive at Sandoval Lake, where we will paddle slowly and discover the wildlife of the lake, including piranhas, birds, butterflies, mammals, monkeys and the giant river otter. We will return to the lodge in the afternoon and get ready to return to Cusco. We will board the sleeper bus at 8:00 pm and travel overnight on the sleeper bus and arrive back at your hotel in Cusco early the next morning (7:30 am).

Important Information

• This tour includes 2 days of activities and 2 nights of travel in a sleeper bus (160º to 180º) for your comfort. It is recommended that you get vaccinated against yellow fever at least 10 days before your visit to the Peruvian jungle. A repellent with a minimum of 30% DEET is very important to protect yourself from mosquitoes. The lodges located in the middle of the jungle are basic but comfortable. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know. Please indicate your preferred type of accommodation.
