Begin with early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco and head to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo. Take the train to Aguas Calientes, admiring the scenery along the way. Meet one of the activity provider's representatives at the station in Aguas Calientes and transfer to the bus station before you continue to Machu Picchu itself. Once you arrive, explore the iconic ruins with their unique architecture and admire the incredible mountain views that surround the area. Afterward, return to the town of Aguas Calientes and have lunch (at your own expense). Then, take some time to explore the town before returning to the train station and beginning the journey back to Ollantaytambo and then on to Cusco.
