Description

Embark on a full-day tour of the Ruta del Sol, a scenic route that connects Cusco and Puno. Visit the Andean town of Andahuaylillas, the Raqchi archaeological site, and the La Raya mountain pass. Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Depart from Cusco and drive to Andahuaylillas, a picturesque Andean town. Visit the Church of San Pedro Apóstol, a beautiful church with an interior adorned with exceptional sacred art. Admire the exquisite combination of Renaissance and Baroque art. Continue along the Ruta del Sol to the Raqchi archaeological site, where the remains of the ancient temple of the god Wiracocha are preserved. Stop at a local restaurant for a buffet lunch. After lunch, head to the La Raya mountain pass, which sits at an altitude of over 4,300 meters. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
