Description

Explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas on a full-day tour from Cusco. Visit the towns of Chinchero, Maras, and Moray, and the archaeological sites of Ollantaytambo and Pisac. Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in the Sacred Valley. Start your day with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Head to the first stop of the day, Chinchero, where you can admire the Inca walls and visit a textile and camelid exhibition center. Next, head to Moray, an archaeological site made up of concentric terraces that served as an agricultural laboratory for the Incas. Continue to Maras, where you can see the salt mines, a series of over 5,000 salt pools that have been used since the time of the Incas. After your guided tour, head to Urubamba for an optional buffet lunch. Next, continue to Ollantaytambo, a town that has been continuously inhabited since the time of the Incas. Climb to the iconic fortress that overlooks the town. Finally, visit the town of Pisac, where you can explore the local market and the archaeological site. After your tour, board the bus back to Cusco, arriving at around 7:00 PM.

Important Information

• Hotel pickup is available from the center of Cusco only. Please be ready for pickup between 06:00am and 06:30am. If you have a train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu, you can be dropped off near the train station. In this case, the tour to Pisac will not be included. The tour concludes around 7:00 PM. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking and exploring outdoor sites. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and water to stay hydrated. Consider bringing cash for personal expenses, as not all places may accept credit cards. Altitude sickness can be a concern; consider acclimatizing to Cusco's altitude before taking the tour.
