Description

Begin with pickup from your accommodation in the historical center of Cusco at 9:00 PM. Rest for the night on a sleeper bus with 160 degree reclining seats. Arrive in Puno in the early morning, enjoy a tasty breakfast, and have the chance to take a shower before heading to the port. Hop on board a speedboat for the short transfer to Uros Island. Take in views of rugged mountain ranges and high plateaus, providing a dramatic backdrop to the shimmering waters of the lake. Be greeted by a local family on Uros Island and hear about their traditions, customs, and lifestyle. Catch a speedboat to the island of Taquile and admire its rolling hills and terraced fields, with steep cliffs plunging down to the shores of Lake Titicaca. Stop at traditional markets where you can capture pictures of colorful goods and shop for handcrafted souvenirs. Sit down to a lunch with a local family that bursting with regional flavors. You will have the afternoon free to get to know the historical center of Puno. Board the sleeper bus at 9:00 PM and travel overnight on the sleeper bus and arrive back at your hotel in Cusco in the early morning (5:30 AM).
