Experience the magic of the Nazca Lines in an unforgettable cultural and historical adventure, starting right from Ica. We'll kick off this adventure by picking you up from your place in Ica or Huacachina first thing in the morning. On board our tourist unit, we'll head south on the Pan-American Highway, heading to Nazca. On the way, we'll make a special stop in the city of Palpa, where you can check out some of the ancient geoglyphs in this area from natural viewpoints, many of them lesser known, but just as amazing. Here, you'll get to check out some amazing figures drawn on the sand that have stood the test of time. As we keep going, we'll hit the Nazca Metal Viewpoint, a raised spot where you can check out up to 3 different figures from above, like the Tree, the Hands, and the Lizard. Unlike the overflight, this ground option lets you check out the lines at your own pace, with the guide giving you the lowdown on their history, symbolism, and the theories surrounding their origin. Then we'll head to the Casa-Mirador María Reiche Museum, the former home of the German scientist who dedicated her life to studying the Nazca Lines. There, you'll learn more about her research, her legacy, and the passion that drove her to protect one of Peru's most mysterious heritage sites. After this enriching tour, we'll head back to Ica, arriving in the afternoon with our hearts and minds full of history, mystery, and wonder.
