Description

Day 1 We start our journey from Puno and head toward the town of Chivay. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Lagunillas viewpoint for stunning views of the South American highlands and the lagoon. Next, we visit the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you’ll see vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas in their natural habitat. We then climb to Patapampa, the highest point of the route at 4,900 meters, offering breathtaking views of the volcanic mountain range. Upon arrival in Chivay, we’ll enjoy an optional lunch and transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we relax at La Calera hot springs—perfect for recharging after the journey. In the evening, enjoy an optional dinner with a lively show of traditional dances. Day 2 Early in the morning, we head to the Colca Canyon. On the way, we stop at the charming town of Maca and its colonial church, then visit the Antahuilque viewpoint to admire the impressive pre-Inca terraces. Finally, we arrive at the famous “Cruz del Cóndor,” where you’ll witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor. On the way back, we’ll have an optional lunch in Chivay before continuing to the city of Arequipa, arriving around 5:00 PM.
