Embark on an exciting 2-day journey through the heart of the Andes, where you will discover the pristine beauty of the Humantay Lagoon and conquer the majestic Salkantay Pass. Itinerary and Main Features: DAY 01 Cusco | Challacancha - Soraypampa - Humantay Lake - Sky Camp Your exciting 2-day trip begins with an early pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco. After a nutritious breakfast in Mollepata, we will make a brief stop in Challacancha. The hike to Soraypampa, our campsite, offers a gentle introduction to the altitude, with a scenic route along an Inca canal. Upon arrival at Sky Camp, located in front of the majestic Salkantay and Humantay Mountains, you will be greeted with a delicious lunch. After relaxing, we will embark on an afternoon hike to Humantay Lake (4,200 masl). The gradual ascent will allow you to adjust to the altitude and reward you with a breathtaking view of the jewel-like lake against a snowy backdrop. On the way back to Sky Camp you will have a delicious dinner and a stargazing session, where your guide will share Inca astronomy. You will sleep in your igloo with a rooftop view of the constellations to end this unforgettable day. DAY 02 Sky Camp Salkantaypampa - Salkantay Pass - Soyrococha - Soraypampa - Cusco The highlight of today is the conquest of the Salkantay Pass and witness breathtaking mountain scenery. After a nutritious breakfast, we will gradually ascend through the challenging 'Trail of the 7 Serpents' to reach the impressive Salkantay Pass at (4,630 masl). Take your time to capture memorable photos and enjoy the incredible scenery. After this awe-inspiring moment, we will descend through unique rocky terrain to our campsite for lunch. You will enjoy incredible views along the way, including a distant view of the snow-covered boulder forest. After lunch at Sky Camp, we will take a short break before embarking on a 30-minute drive to board our shuttle. This final stretch offers numerous photographic opportunities of valleys, mountains, rivers and farmland. Finally, we will return you to Cusco for a well-deserved rest at your accommodation.
