Description

Most of July and August bookings will be required to arrive at least 1 full day early to Aguas Calientes. We will assist in this process. Under extreme congestion you will be required to arrive 2 days in advance. See disclaimer below. Tour times: 2-4 hrs, morning or afternoon. We will contact you after the booking to review which circuits and times are open on the day you selected. Our guides can accommodate tours on any circuit. We recommend booking 3 months in advanced for full circuit choices. For questions regarding your booking - please send a message on WhatsApp, this is our fastest for of communication. Transportation options: train + bus or car. Min. 5 hrs each way. Train Addon - We will provide you a round trip train ticket to Aguas Calientes from either Cusco or Ollantaytambo. We will contact you to coordinate these times. Train add-on does not include local cabs to the train station. You must choose a train add-on for each person, 1 add-on = 1 person, it is not a group rate. Car Addon - This will reserve a car for you which can pick you up from the airport and drive you to Ollantaytambo and return to Cusco. If no transportation add-on is selected, the meeting point for this tour is in Aguas Calientes. For bookings of 1 person, you may be in a group of a maximum of 4 people. All bookings of 2 or more will have their own private guide. Passport information is required so we can reserve your entry ticket to the site. DISCLAIMER: Online tickets typically sell out months in advance but the Cultural Office in Aguas Calientes reserves 1000 tickets per day for in-person purchase. If online tickets are sold out, you will need to arrive very early in the morning the day BEFORE your tour to present your passport to reserve your ticket IN-PERSON. It is possible the ministry of culture will require arriving 2 days in advanced depending on how busy it is. Our team is in Aguas Calientes monitoring the situation and we will advise you on when you should arrive. We will keep you informed on your booking in case you need to change any hotel or train tickets. Your guide will meet you in Aguas Calientes and help you with this process. April, May, and most of June 2025 are both sold out for advanced reservations and are requiring this process above. Our goal is to make sure you get tickets to Machu Picchu and we will do our absolute best to make sure any guests get tickets. Any refund request is at the discretion of Wonders of Peru Expeditions.
