Description

We begin this unforgettable experience with pickup from your hotel at 4:30 a.m. Your professional guide will welcome you, and together we will travel for approximately 3 hours toward the community of Pacchanta, the starting point of our horseback adventure. During the drive, you will enjoy a spectacular sunrise over valleys, snow-capped mountains, and remote Andean villages, while your guide shares fascinating stories about Quechua culture, the Ausangate region, and the ancient spiritual traditions that are still practiced today. Upon arriving in Pacchanta, you will enjoy a hot and energizing breakfast, perfect for acclimatizing and preparing for the journey. After breakfast, we will have a short horseback training session, where our horseman will teach you how to ride comfortably, how to handle the reins, and how to communicate with your horse during the route. This quick training ensures you feel safe and confident for the adventure ahead. With the horses ready and hydrated, we begin our journey toward the majestic 7 Lakes of Ausangate, following a scenic route surrounded by snow-capped peaks, wide Andean plains, and herds of alpacas. Thanks to the support of the horses, you can fully relax, enjoy the landscape, breathe fresh mountain air, and connect with the powerful energy of Ausangate. Our first stop is at the first lagoon, where your guide will explain the deep spiritual importance of these waters and mountains for the local communities. You will learn how these places are considered sacred Apus (mountain protectors) and how the lakes are revered by the Andean people. Your guide will also describe the ancestral rituals—including offerings to the Apus and the lakes—that the communities still practice as part of their living tradition. We will continue exploring each of the lakes, all of them unique in color and shape, while your guide shares cultural stories, ancient Andean legends, and the history of the guardians who protect this sacred land. After completing the circuit, we return to our private camp in Pacchanta, where you will enjoy a delicious hot lunch prepared by our mountain chef. After lunch, you will relax in our natural hot springs, located inside our private camp—an exclusive spot where you can unwind with incredible views of the Ausangate glacier. Finally, we board our private transportation to return to Cusco, arriving in the afternoon between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. This private adventure is perfect for travelers seeking comfort, flexibility, and a deep connection with the Andes. You will be one of the first to reach the lakes, avoiding the crowds and enjoying a truly authentic, intimate, and personalized experience. Everything is fully included, so you won’t need to worry about extra payments—just relax, enjoy, and immerse yourself in the magic of Ausangate.
