Description

At the agreed time, we will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Iquitos or at the airport and head to the pier. There, we’ll board the boat toward Monkey Interaction Island, a perfect place to experience the magic of the Amazon’s wildlife. Ready for a day surrounded by nature? We will sail along the Itaya and Amazon rivers, enjoying the breathtaking scenery and learning about the diverse flora and fauna found along their banks. On the way, we’ll visit Fundo Pedrito, where you can observe caimans, turtles, piranhas, paichas, and the famous Amazonian plant Victoria regia. Depending on the season, we might even spot pink or gray dolphins. Next, we’ll visit an indigenous community, where you’ll learn about their way of life, traditions, and dances. After that, we’ll take a break to enjoy a delicious lunch and rest for a while. After about two hours of navigation, we’ll arrive at Monkey Interaction Island, a natural refuge where visitors can get close to, feed, and interact freely with several monkey species in a safe and well-managed environment. You’ll be able to take photos and enjoy unforgettable moments with these friendly animals while learning about their habits and care. Before returning, we’ll enjoy a traditional Amazonian lunch, and then sail back along the Amazon and Itaya rivers, finishing the excursion with your transfer back to the hotel.
