Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in a tourist vehicle between 6:00 and 6:20 a.m. to head to the Salinas Lagoon. During the tour, we will stop at the Chiguata viewpoint, where we will enjoy the view of the pre-Inca terraces and the panoramic view of the Misti, Chachani, and Pichupichu volcanoes. We will continue the tour and stop at the Queñuas forest at an altitude of 3800 meters, where we will have a beautiful view of the volcanoes and the forest of these beautiful trees that grow at high altitudes. We will also stop at Cerro el Simbral, where we will have a beautiful view of the city of Arequipa. We will continue on and arrive at Salinas at approximately 8:00 a.m., where we will have breakfast for about 30 minutes. After breakfast, we will take a tour to observe South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Then we will go to a place where there are hot springs and from there we will hike around the lagoon and enjoy the view it offers us, surrounded by salt and its mirrors of water. The salt flats can only be enjoyed from May to mid-December. From mid-December to April, it is the rainy season, and during this period, you will only be able to enjoy the lagoon and its water mirror. We will also enjoy the lagoon viewpoint, so you can take beautiful photos of the area. We will spend 2 to 2.5 hours at the Salinas lagoon. Then, we will return to the city of Arequipa. We will arrive in the city of Arequipa at approximately 1:00 p.m.
