Description

DAY 1: FULL DAY – ICA – PARACAS – HUACACHINA We'll pick you up from your centrally located hotel in Miraflores, Barranco, or San Isidro between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. to kick off our adventure. Our first stop will be at the Marina pier, where we'll pass the SERNANP checkpoint before boarding for the Ballestas Islands. For about two hours, we'll cruise through the fascinating marine world of the Pacific. On the way, we'll stop in front of the mysterious geoglyph 'El Candelabro,' where the guide will share different theories about its origin and function. Then we'll head to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and a variety of guano birds. Hopefully, we'll also spot dolphins. Don't forget your camera to capture this natural spectacle! Next, we'll head to Ica for about an hour until we reach the El Catador winery. There, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch and tour the winery to learn about the process of making wines and piscos, with a tasting included. Later, we'll head to the famous Huacachina Oasis, surrounded by huge sand dunes. We'll hop on the buggies for a thrilling ride through the desert and go sandboarding from the heights. After this adrenaline-filled experience, you'll have some free time to stroll around the oasis, take pictures, or shop. At 5:00 p.m., we'll start the private transfer to Nazca, arriving at the chosen hotel around 7:00 p.m., where we'll stay to rest. DAY 2: NAZCA – FLY OVER THE LINES After a hearty breakfast, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Nazca and head to María Reiche Neumann Airport. After the paperwork, we'll enjoy a 30-minute flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. Aboard a Cessna 207A plane, with room for six passengers and two crew, each traveler will have an individual seat and panoramic windows to clearly admire the 13 most iconic geoglyphs: the condor, the spider, the monkey, and the hummingbird, among others. During the tour, the pilot and guide will share the main theories about the origin and purpose of these mysterious figures drawn in the desert. The flight will end by landing at the same airport. Finally, we'll head back to the hotel in Nazca and, at 2:00 or 2:50 PM, we'll head back to Lima by bus with Cruz del Sur. (If you're going to Arequipa, please check)
