Description
Experience a thrilling and unforgettable journey from Lima to Nasca and back with our meticulously designed 2-day trip. This adventure-packed itinerary promises breathtaking sights, unique wildlife encounters, and rich cultural exploration.
DAY 1: Paracas and Huacachina.
5:30 a.m. Our team will pick you up at your hotel or accommodation and we will board our comfortable bus to Paracas. Upon arrival in Paracas and before boarding the speedboat, we will have free time to enjoy the small fishing village called “El Chaco” with its small boulevard overlooking Paracas Bay and craft shops and restaurants.
Tour to the Ballestas Islands, a 2-hour experience on a speedboat. We will sail in the historic bay of Paracas, skirting the peninsula of the same name to appreciate beautiful cliffs, colorful hills, pelicans in their natural habitat, and the famous Candelabra or “trident” engraved on a hill with an impressive view from the boat. Upon arriving at the Ballestas Islands,
we will see a wonderful array of birdlife, such as the Zarzillo, the Guanay, the Peruvian booby, chuitas, Humboldt penguins, and many sea lions.
Pisco and wine experiences. After Paracas, we will take the Pisco route to visit one of the oldest Pisco and wine cellars in South America, “Tacama,” where we will learn the techniques, history, and secrets of a good Pisco. We will have a typical lunch with a variety of options to choose from in a very popular restaurant under the cool shade of grapevines and the aroma of wine.
Adventure, buggy, adrenaline, sandboarding, and sunset in Huacachina. At 4 pm, we board our buggy to explore the giant sand dunes beyond Huacachina. We will climb up and down beautiful sand dunes and practice sandboarding over and over again. Finally, we will go to our favorite dune to wait and enjoy an unforgettable view of the sunset, taking lots of photos and selfies to remember the moment.
DAY 2 - 35-minute flight over the Nasca Lines, history, archaeology, mystery. After enjoying our breakfast, we will board our private transport that will take us to the María Reiche aerodrome to board a Cesna plane for a 35-minute flight over the Nasca Lines. We will observe the Pelican, the Spider, the Hummingbird, the Condor, the Astronaut, and many other geometric figures.
Next, we will explore the Chauchila cemetery, the Cantalloc aqueducts, and the pottery workshop. All the mysteries of the mummies, textiles, and drawings on the pottery will be revealed by our local archaeologist guide. After lunch, we will return to our hotel in Lima.
