Description
Our tour begins with the pick up from the Hotel or train station in Ollantaytambo at the agreed time starting from 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
After the respective pick up, we continue along the route of the Sacred Valley to our first stop at the Moray Archaeological Center where we will have a guided tour, on the way we will be able to observe its beautiful landscapes appreciating the flora and fauna of each site surrounded by mountains and particular snow-capped mountains. of this attraction.
Within the Moray Archaeological Site we will visit the agricultural terraces, they are a group of circular terraces that are approximately 150 cm deep, according to some chroniclers and historians Moray was an Inca agricultural laboratory, since they have irrigation channels and each level It constitutes a microclimate.
Then we will go to the Salineras de Maras where we will be able to appreciate the salt pools. We will also have a guided tour and we will be able to access the purchase of products made of salt. This place has 2000 salt wells, currently the salt pools are exploited by local families.
Finally we will go to the town of Chinchero where we will visit the Chinchero textile interpretation center, where we will have the opportunity to learn and experience the technique that consists of transforming wool and cotton into threads, which are dyed by different natural pigments.
After this journey we will return to Ollantaytambo.
