Description
Paracas is the first Marine Reserve of peru that includes marine water.
Due to an exceptional biological diversity, generated by the Humboldt Current and coastal upwelling occurring year-round, this part of the Pacific ocean is one of the most productive and richest in the world. Also considered a wildlife refuge, this natural area are 224 species of birds, over 180 fish and 20 species of cetaceans.
The reserve also offers historical and cultural wonders which are evident in 114 recorded archaeological sites and a testament of the successful interaction of the ancient inhabitants of Paracas with the sea. Paracas reserve has been declared a Ramsar Site under the Convention of Wetlands of International Importance in 1991. This tour can be programed from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Our tour programs is provided in private service it last for 3 hours aproximatly and also can be extended to 4 hours to explore some of the geological phenomena alone this remarkable stretch of peninsula, such as panoramic views and red, white sand beaches, lines by colorful, sedimentary rocks, blue and turquoise waters, cold pacific swells.
Our Itinerary look like this:
09:00 am Pick up from your hotel nearby in Paracas.
09:20 am Visit information center prepared by residents biologists on Paracas National Reserve.
09:40 Short walking to see flamingos.
10:00 am Drive to magnificent rock formation named catedral.
10:45 am drive along coast line to hightest mountaint of Peninsula of Paracas.(Itsmos of Paracas Peninsula)
11:00 am visit Red beach for photo stop.
11:20 am Finally visit Pink lagoon, known for its pink color, caused by the presence of microorganisms and the high concentration of salt.
12:30 Return to the hotel. End of our tour.
