Description

1:00 pm departure from our office Emotion Tour Peru to Tambo Colorado (approximately 1 hour drive). Along the route, you will be able to observe the Pisco Valley, its small towns, and the Pisco River until you reach the archaeological site: Upon arrival, you will visit the Tambo Colorado Museum, where archaeological remains from that era are located: Afterward, we will walk around this archaeological site and enjoy a panoramic view of the ruins, including the Inca’s quarters, the watchtower, the Inca’s bath, and the bath of the chosen women. We will also see the main plaza and the Ushnu, the altar where offerings were made to the Sun God. Tambo Colorado is a complex of structures built with rammed earth and adobe bricks. It was one of the most important centers established by the Incas on the coast. Then we will continue towards Laguna Moron. We will board our vehicle and continue our journey for 30 minutes until we reach the town of Bernales, crossing the valley with its diverse crops and observing the livestock of the locals along the way until we arrive at the entrance to Laguna Morón. After getting out of our vehicle, we will walk through the desert for approximately 8 minutes until we reach this oasis, a hidden gem in the middle of the vast and majestic Peruvian desert. Laguna Morón will surprise you with its stunning contrast. Its waters, with shades ranging from blue to crystalline green, shimmer amidst the imposing golden sand dunes and native vegetation that clings to life in this arid environment. On its shores, you can see totora reeds, guarango trees, rushes, and saltgrass. You can also observe bird species such as ducks, coots, herons, turtupilinas (a type of egret), and even hummingbirds and vultures. In its waters, you can find fish such as tilapia and carp. Here you can also rent kayaks, boats, or boards and try sandboarding, gliding down the impressive dunes that surround the oasis. Next we will depart to Fundo la Mora We will continue our tour towards the city of Pisco and visit Fundo la Mora. Upon arrival we will be welcomed to this cozy estate and learn about the process of pisco and wine, afterwards our host in the winery will delight us with the tasting of 5 varieties of pisco and 3 varieties of wines, produced in the Pisco Valley.
