Description

Begin with a pickup at 4:00 PM from the coordinated meeting point in Puerto Maldonado and travel to the Tambopata River. Board a boat equipped with a spotlight and explore the riverbanks in search of caimans. Thanks to the light, the eyes of the caimans are easy to spot. At night, see normal-sized caimans measuring 1 to 1.5 meters. With a bit more luck, spot large adult caimans. Also, keep an eye out for snakes, birds, capybaras, bats, and other jungle animals. After the tour, return to Puerto Maldonado and be dropped off in the city center.
