Description

Begin your adventure with a pickup from Puno. Make a brief stop in Viscachanito to acclimatize to the altitude. Continue to Patapampa, the highest point of the journey at 4,830 meters above sea level, known as the viewpoint of the volcanoes. Marvel at the volcanic chain, including Hualcahualca, Sabancalla, and Ampato. Upon arrival in Chivay, stop at the main square before heading to your hotel. In the afternoon, relax in the thermal waters (optional). In the evening, enjoy a dinner (not included) accompanied by a folkloric show. On the second day, explore the Colca Canyon, the Condor Cross, and witness the flight of the condors. Discover the traditional and ancestral towns of Yanque, visit the church built in honor of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, and see local crafts and the representative dance of Colca, Wititi. The guided tour lasts approximately 1 hour. Return to Chivay, passing through Maca and visiting the Santa Ana church, decorated with altarpieces bathed in gold leaf. Enjoy lunch in Chivay before continuing your journey to Arequipa, arriving in the city at 5:00 PM.
