Description

Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour In the morning, between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up at your hotel to begin the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas by tourist transportation. Our first stop will be the Pisac Archaeological Park, where we will explore its impressive terraces, aqueducts, and ancient cemeteries, while the guide shares the history and value of this Inca complex. Then, in the town of Pisac, we will learn about the artisanal process of silversmithing, from smelting to creating beautiful jewelry, the work of talented local master goldsmiths. We will continue the journey along the Vilcanota River until we reach Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (by prior arrangement with the guide). In the afternoon, we will visit the imposing Ollantaytambo Fortress, an architectural complex of great ceremonial and military importance. There we can explore its majestic terraces and temples, and learn how this Inca city, considered one of the last bastions of resistance against the Spanish, was designed. To conclude the tour, we will head to Chinchero, a town that preserves ancient traditions. We will visit local artisan workshops, where we will observe the entire textile process: from the washing and spinning of alpaca wool, to the dyeing with natural dyes, to the creation of fine textiles. Chinchero textiles are world-renowned for maintaining the Inca 'Loraypo' technique, which highlights the dedication and cultural heritage of this town. Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.
